Tund 1
Läheme magama inglise keeles

Teeme ettepaneku alustada situatsiooniga „läheme magama“. Sel ajal tavaliselt ema ja last keegi ei sega. Viimane informatsioon enne und psühholoogide arvates jääb kõige paremini meelde (samuti ka esimene peale ärkamist).

Abiks Teile väike sõnastik, mis sisaldab sõnu ja väljendeid selleks situatsiooniks. Neist esialgu piisab, aga kasutage ka julgesti kõike seda, mida teate, olete kuulnud ja leidnud.

Tund on arvestatud 2-3 nädalaks, selle ajaga laps harjub ingliskeelse kõne kõlaga ja Teie tunnete end peaaegu vabalt, suheldes lapsega inglise keeles. Püüdke sel ajal last magama pannes kasutada vaid inglise keelt. 2-3 nädala pärast (võibolla kulub Teil rohkem aega) võib selles situatsioonis kasutada ka inglise keele kõrval emakeelt.

Siis võib asuda teise õppetunni juurde „Ujume inglise keeles“.

Ärge palun unustage ingliskeelse teksti kuulamist ja filmide vaatamist. Igapäevane kontakt ingliskeelse tekstiga on lapse jaoks väga vajalik.



SÕNASTIK

Olenevalt tekist kõlab see väljend erinevalt:

vatitekk, vatt-tekk - quilt
vateeritud tekk - comforter

pehme padjake – soft pillow
pane peake padjakesele – lay your head down on the pillow
vaata, su kaisukarukene magab – look, your teddy-bear is sleeping
Su mugav voodike ootab sind – your cozy cot, is waiting for you

Olenevalt voodist kõlab see väljend erinevalt:
säng, voodi, ase - bed
koiku, kushett - cot
lapsevoodi, sõim - crib
häll, kätki - cradle
diivanvoodi - sofa, couch
magamiskott - sleeping bag, slumber bag

unenägu, ulm; unistus – dream
juba ka ema tahab magama – even your mommy is feeling sleepy
Ma räägin sulle unejuttu – I'll tell you a [bedtime] story
story - muinasjutt (näiteks „Naeris“); lugu; jutt; jutustus; väljamõeldis
tale - muinasjutt haldjatest, printsessidest (näiteks „Tuhkatriinu“)

magama jääma, suikuma; tukastus; suige - to doze off
tukkumine, uinak;tukkuma, uinakut tegema - to snooze
uinuma; magama jääma - to sleep
uinak, uni; v. uinuma, suikuma, magama - sleep, slumber
päevane uinak, uni - nap
magama peale lõunat - to [take a] nap
Sa näed väsinud välja - you look tired
Su silmad on väsinud - your eyes are tired
Sul on vaja puhata - you need some rest (èëè you need to take a rest)
magama kiigutama - rock (the baby) to sleep
Head ööd! Maga rahulikult! - Good night! Sleep tight!
öösärk - night gown (nightie)
pidzaama - pajamas, piyjamas, PJs, [am. jammies]
(pidzaama on inglise keeles mitmuses, koosneb kahest esemest.)
pidzaama pluus - pajama/piyjama/PJ top
pidzaama püksid - pajama/piyjama/PJ bottom
magamis kombinesioon (ühes osas) - sleeper
